Gaming Platform Performance:
The single card performance drops right off compared to the nForce 590 SLI boards which utilise GPU Ex and LinkBoost optimisations, which you obviously don't get on an ATI RD580-based mobo. CrossFired Radeon X1900's do still work faster than a pair of GeForce 7900GTX's in SLI with the enhancements by around 5 frames per second.
In Quake 4, the KA3 MVP is slower than the two nForce 590 SLI motherboards in both single and dual card configurations.
The KA3 with a single GeForce 7900 GTX is slower again, but Radeon X1900 CrossFire outperforms the nForce 590 SLI / GeForce 7900 GTX SLI combos by around 3-9 frames per second.
